Who will go where before the summer transfer window shuts?

|

Time is starting to run out for Premier League clubs to strengthen their squads, with the transfer window shutting on Thursday evening. Here are a few of the moves already completed and some of the other transfer stories doing the rounds:

Harry Wilson (Liverpool to Bournemouth, loan)

The highly-rated young Welsh winger has made the temporary move to the south coast. The Cherries have paid the Merseysider’s £2.5million loan fee, with a potential of £500,000 more depending on his performances for Eddie Howe’s side.

Wilson impressed immensely on -loan at Championship Derby last season, helping the Rams to the play-off final. The youngster had also been linked with moves to Aston Villa and Newcastle. The Cherries have no option to buy the winger once his loan fee finishes.

James McCarthy (Everton to Crystal Palace, a potential fee of £3-8million)

The Republic of Ireland midfielder travelled down to London on Tuesday to have a medical and discuss personal terms. Different reports suggest that the fee is either £3million or as high as £8million. However, the fee could well be related to Everton’s interest in Wilfried Zaha, which we will get to later on.

McCarthy has been unlucky with injuries in recent seasons. However, he now seems fully-fit and he could prove to be a good signing for the Eagles.

Wilfried Zaha (Crystal Palace to Everton, £70million plus McCarthy and Cenk Tosun, rejected)

According to Sky Sports, Everton saw a bid of around £70million plus James McCarthy and Cenk Tosun rejected on Tuesday night. Reports suggest that the Eagles want more than £80million for the wantaway Ivory Coast international. Zaha is believed to be disappointed that he has been priced out of a move.

Everton looks unlikely to give up on the deal and could return with an improved offer. The winger would be the statement signing that the Merseysider’s have been looking to make this season. Zaha being an Everton player by the end of the transfer window cannot be ruled out. The Toffees remain the favourites to sign the winger.

Paulo Dybala (Juventus to Tottenham, reported negotiations ongoing)

The Daily Mirror claims that Tottenham are in negotiations with Juventus to sign Argentinian forward Paulo Dybala. A fee of around £70million has been mooted for the 25-year-old, as the Bianconeri attempt to balance the books. Manchester United have also been linked with a move for the forward. The decision may well rest with the player. The forward is highly-rated but endured a difficult campaign in Turin last season.

Joao Cancelo (Juventus to Manchester City, £30million plus Danilo)

The deal to take the Portuguese full-back to City is close, which will see versatile Brazilian Danilo head to the Bianconeri. Cancelo will provide cover and competition at right-back for Kyle Walker. However, he has also played at left-back in the past.

Albian Ajeti (Basel to West Ham, negotiations ongoing)

The Hammers are in negotiations to sign the Swiss international forward, with reports suggesting that the clubs are talking about a deal worth between £8-10million. The 22-year-old scored 15 times in 35 games for the Swiss club last season and will give Irons boss Manuel Pellegrini another much-needed attacking option.

Will Wilfried Zaha be an Everton player the time the summer transfer window shuts?
