The Premier League will return to our screens once again this weekend for Week 7 of top flight action since the 2020/21 season began. While we’ve still got some European games to work our way through over the course of the next few days, we thought it’d be interesting to take a look at a few clubs that have a really big opportunity on their hands in their next PL fixture.

You can go ahead and check out what is available to bet on over at the betting page after you’ve gone through this piece, but for now, let’s take a look at four teams who will have their eyes set on securing three massive points this weekend.

West Ham

The fact that West Ham United are in 12th place after six games when you take a look at some of the teams they’ve faced is nothing short of stunning. They were tipped by many to go down at the start of the campaign but they’ve done really well to fight back, and now, they want to prove that they aren’t going to be in any danger between now and May.

Their next chance to showcase that will be on Saturday evening when they make the trip up to Merseyside to take on the reigning English champions Liverpool. The Reds haven’t quite looked themselves this season and with the pressure being off the Hammers, they could cause quite the upset.

Arsenal

There’s already pressure on the shoulders of Mikel Arteta, rightly or wrongly, and Arsenal fans understand that building a successful squad at the Emirates is going to take a lot of time and effort. Oh, and the club also has a terrible record at Old Trafford, which is where they’re going to be playing this weekend.

If they can overcome some of the frailties they’ve shown in the past against United and they’re able to pick up the win, it’d be the definition of a morale booster. Nobody needs to tell Arteta how important this rivalry is to the supporters, and he needs to prove that he understands that.

Tottenham

The only big six club currently situated above Tottenham Hotspur in the table is Liverpool, and while some believe Spurs haven’t quite done themselves justice so far this season, they’re still in fifth place with one hell of a squad at their disposal.

Their game this weekend will see them host Brighton & Hove Albion and if they can win it, there is a very good chance they will be able to lift themselves back into the top four – which we all know is the minimum requirement for Jose Mourinho.

West Brom

With Slaven Bilic reportedly being on the verge of leaving the club, West Bromwich Albion need one thing and one thing only – a win. They may not be in the bottom three but they do have just three points from their first six games back in the top flight, and there will be no better opportunity for them to win their first game than against Fulham.

The Cottagers already look like they’re destined to return to the Championship, and if the Baggies want to avoid the same fate, they have to make a statement at Craven Cottage.
