The Premier League rolls on this week for another selection of entertaining fixtures as we continue on through the month of May. While we’re entering into the latter stages of the season, there are still so many huge fixtures left to be played at the top and bottom of the table.

Today, our aim is to pick out four clubs, in particular, who we believe have a huge opportunity ahead of them in the next few days. They aren’t nailed on to pick up all three points and they may not even be the favourites, but if they can find a way to win, it could be huge for their season.

If you feel like putting some money down on any of the games we’re about to discuss, head on over to the betting page.

Leicester

Leicester City will kick off the weekend tonight on Friday Night Football against Newcastle United, and if they want to lay down a marker for the rest of the top four clubs to follow, this is the sort of game to do it in. They need to stay focused and they can’t afford to get complacent because the Magpies always seem to be really eager to punish clubs like that. Either way, a win here should all but cement their Champions League place, and that should be all the motivation they need.

Manchester City

Manchester City could make some waves in two big ways this weekend. Firstly, they could wrap up the Premier League title and officially be crowned Champions of England. Secondly, a win over Chelsea would set them up perfectly for their rematch – which, in case you hadn’t heard, will take place in the Champions League final. Pep Guardiola knows how huge it could be for them to lay a beating down on the Blues, especially after their FA Cup semi-final not so long ago.

Liverpool

Southampton are leaking goals for fun and Liverpool need a “detox game” that helps them to remember what kind of side they want to be. They need to revert back to the status quo that saw them enjoy so much success before this calamity of a season and while that’s easier said than done, we do think they’ve got a few big results left in them before the campaign comes to an end. They need to get into the top four, and Jurgen Klopp will be making that crystal clear to his side.

Burnley

If Burnley beat Fulham then they’ll not only confirm their place in the Premier League for another season, but they’ll also leave Fulham on the verge of relegation back down to the Championship. The stakes don’t get much higher than this and even though the Clarets aren’t in the best of form right now, they still have game winners within their ranks. It’ll be a slog, but a victory against the Cottagers will remind us of what we all kind of know already – Sean Dyche knows how to get the job done with this squad.
