Fantasy Football ones to watch season 2018/19 gameweek 13

|

The Premier League returns this weekend after a two-week hiatus for the international break, which means FPL returns too. Our gameweek 12 picks were one to forget, after just one out of four picks tallied. However, we are hoping for better results this week. Here are our ones to watch for gameweek 13:

Lucas Digne (Everton, £4.8m)

The summer signing from Barcelona looks to be a bargain asset at £4.8m. The Frenchman does possess an attacking threat, despite only producing one assist this season.

Everton’s defensive performances have improved of late in the top-flight, and the Toffees have only conceded three goals in their last six league games, which have included trips to Manchester United and Chelsea.

The Merseyside welcome Cardiff to Goodison Park on Saturday, a game the Toffees are favourites to win. With Marco Silva’s team expected to be on the front foot from kick-off, Digne may prosper at both ends of the pitch.

Ryan Bennett (Wolves, £4.2m)

The defender has become a must-have budget defensive option this season. No player has more potential for points at his price-level in the whole of the game.

While teammate Matt Doherty has attracted a lot of interest because of his attacking threat, Bennett cannot be overlooked as a defensive asset. Wolves have only kept four clean sheets this season.

However, the side from the Midlands have a major opportunity to improve that record this weekend, when they welcome struggling Yorkshire outfit Huddersfield to Molineux. The Terriers are the lowest scoring team in the Premier League this season, scoring just six times in 12 matches. This is a good opportunity for Bennett and co. to pick up a fifth top-flight clean sheet of the season.

Kenedy (Newcastle, £4.9m)

The Brazilian on-loan in the north east from Chelsea has shown glimpses of his talent so far for the Magpies this season. In terms of FPL returns, the winger has scored just once and produced one assist, which was last time out against Bournemouth.

The assist against the Cherries hinted at an improvement in form. Kenedy has had 17 shots on goal, a tally that is higher than all of his Newcastle teammates. In fact, the Chelsea loanee is in the top-four midfielders for shots this season.

A trip to struggling Burnley on Monday night offers the Brazilian the perfect opportunity to start producing an end product.

Raul Jimenez (Wolves, £5.8m)

The Mexican international has made a lively start to life in the Midlands. The striker on-loan from Benfica has scored three goals and produced five assists for Wolves.

All three of his Premier League goals have been at Molineux and he has had 20 shots on goal in the top-flight on home soil this season, which is more than any of his teammates. His high number of shots puts him in the top three strikers in the Premier League for shots.

The fact that Huddersfield are Wolves opponents at Molineux this weekend suggests that Jimenez could add to his scoring tally in the near. The Terriers have the worst away defensive record in the top-flight, having conceded 14 goals away from home in just five games.

Jimenez at £5.8m also represents good value for money, as very few forwards in that price range have offered the same attacking threat. For us, he seems to be a good medium to long-term FPL prospect.
