Many worried that Brendan Rodgers was taking this Leicester side in the wrong direction after a woeful end to last season. However, in the first few games of the new campaign, he seems to have completely turned things around. They’re got the Europa League to get excited about, they’ve made some intriguing new signings in the transfer window, and they have a squad that finds the balance between experience and youth.

Starting off against West Bromwich Albion and Burnley was always going to be favourable for the Foxes but winning 3-0 and 4-2 really did raise a few eyebrows. Sure, they went out of the Carabao Cup at the hands of Arsenal, but they bounced back in the most sensational fashion imaginable by battering Manchester City 5-2.

West Ham

West Ham were viewed as certainties for a relegation battle this season but after a few positive performances, many are starting to wonder whether or not they can aim higher than that. They may need one or two more signings during the last few days of the transfer window to try and ensure their top flight future but for the most part, David Moyes seems to know what he’s doing.

Two big wins in the Carabao Cup helped West Ham to gain some confidence before their eventual exit against Everton, but the real rollercoaster ride for their fans has come in the Premier League. They fell to a 2-0 defeat against Newcastle United in their season opener but against Arsenal, they pushed the Gunners all the way before ultimately falling to a narrow 2-1 loss. Still, they clearly took something from that game, as they went on to batter Wolverhampton Wanderers 4-0 in a stunning result.

Conclusion

West Ham are going to be coming into this game with a lot of confidence and we think that’s going to be showcased by them flying out of the gate early on against Leicester. However, quality does tend to shine through in a league like this, and that’s why we’re backing the Foxes to maintain their spot at the top of the table. They’re playing some incredible football right now and a team like the Hammers just aren’t capable of stopping their momentum.

We don’t think Leicester are going to completely blow their opponents out of the water which is why we’re backing the under 2.5 goals market for a 2-0 prediction. It may be a bit more dramatic than that, but Leicester should be strong enough to get the job done.
