The Premier League clubs with big opportunities in Week 10
|

The Premier League returns this weekend for another selection of entertaining fixtures as we gear up for the final set of fixtures before the dreaded winter schedule really begins over December. We’re still very much in the early stages of the new campaign when you take one look at just how many games there are left to go before the season ends, and yet, there’s a whole lot that is already on the line for clubs up and down the table.

Today, our aim is to pick out four clubs, in particular, who we believe have a huge opportunity ahead of them in the next few days. They aren’t nailed on to pick up all three points and they may not even be the favourites, but if they can find a way to win, it could be huge for their season.

If you feel like putting some money down on any of the games we’re about to discuss, head on over to the betting page.

Brighton

Liverpool are one of a few teams that could really benefit from the Tottenham vs Chelsea game, regardless of how it goes – but they’re coming up against a Brighton & Hove Albion side that has shown signs of life in recent weeks. They’ve only lost one of their last five games and they seem to be forming quite the team cohesion, which is going to be essential against the Reds. Jurgen Klopp has admitted the Reds are going to be tired after their recent European exploits, and it’s not insane to think the Seagulls could claim at least a point.

Manchester City

It’s been an incredibly tough start to the season for Manchester City, and while Pep Guardiola does seem to be in it for the long haul at the Etihad, he needs to try and mix things up in the next few transfer windows. Still, all is not lost as they have a favourable home game against Burnley to contend with this weekend, which could take them back into the top half of the table. It doesn’t sound like much, but it’s a start.

West Brom

West Bromwich Albion have had a really, really poor start to the new season and it’s difficult to avoid that fact, but all hope is not lost. They’re still within touching distance of 17th place and that’s probably the highest they can hope to go during the campaign unless something major changes between now and May. They’ll be taking on Sheffield United at The Hawthorns and, if they can win, it could be the boost they need in what is going to be an early season relegation six-pointer.

Leicester

Leicester City need to forget about the Liverpool result as quickly as they possibly can, and in doing so, they can start to manage their expectations again. They could still challenge for the title if they go on another strong run but either way, they’re still in a strong position this weekend. If they beat lowly Fulham at home, they are guaranteed to finish the week in at least third place as a result of Spurs going up against Chelsea.
