Prediction & odds for the game: Leicester (7/4) v Manchester United (7/5) – ST is backing the draw

When: Saturday, 26th December @ 12.30pm K.O

Where: King Power Stadium

Leicester City and Manchester United will both attempt to keep their top four momentum going when they meet on Boxing Day.

Leicester

Leicester City’s do or die attitude means that while no other team in the top half of the Premier League has won more games than them, no other team in the top half has lost more either. Brendan Rodgers has helped to implement a style that can either work to perfection or royally blow up in his side’s face, and that’s a tough balancing act to have. As we look ahead to the rest of the season, you’d have to think they are legitimate contenders for the top four once again.

The losses against FC Zorya and Everton were hard to take but aside from that, Leicester have been on fire in December. They beat AEK Athens and Brighton, edged past Sheffield United and surprised a lot of critics by beating Tottenham Hotspur 2-0.

Manchester United

Fans probably won’t want to jinx it but it feels as if Manchester United are on the right track under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. It’s taken a good long while for us to arrive at this destination but now that we’re here, United fans should be very excited about the future. With the potential for a few pieces of silverware in addition to another strong top four surge, the net few months are going to be very interesting at Old Trafford.

Defeats against Paris Saint-Germain and RB Leipzig may have knocked United out of the Champions League and into the Europa League, but their Premier League form this month has been scintillating. Sure, they played out a dull 0-0 draw against rivals Manchester City, but they also scored 12 goals in three games thanks to wins over West Ham, Sheffield United and Leeds.

Conclusion

There’s always going to be entertainment on the cards when you put these two teams together and we think the same is going to be true when they meet this weekend. Leicester are going to come out firing but as we all know, Manchester United love to stage a comeback away from home. We’re predicting that the Foxes will race into an early lead only to sit back on it too much, allowing the Red Devils to battle back and earn a draw in the East Midlands.

In terms of an official scoreline prediction, we’re going to go for 2-2, meaning we hit the over 2.5 goals marker – so buckle up for some post-Christmas chaos.

Verdict: Back the draw at odds of 13/5 and the over 2.5 goals scored at odds of 4/6 (All odds are taken from bet365).
