Prediction and odds for the game: Arsenal (5/6) vs Leeds (3/1)

We are backing the draw at odds of 14/5

When: Sunday, 14th February 2021, Kick-off 16:30

Where: The Emirates Stadium

On Sunday afternoon, Arsenal host Leeds at the Emirates Stadium, as both teams look to push up the Premier League table.

Arsenal

The Gunners form has badly fluctuated this season under Mikel Arteta and they currently sit 11th place in the Premier League table, a point behind the tenth-place visitors. The team from north London have won just one of their previous five games in all competitions, suffering three defeats in the process.

One of the biggest reasons for Arsenal’s recent struggles has been the Gunners struggling in attack, as they have scored just once in three top-flight games. Not only are they struggling to actually find the net, but they also are not creating many chances. However, a positive for the Gunners is their recent defensive record, as they have kept clean sheets in five of their last eight Premier League outings.

Arsenal are unbeaten in five league matches at the Emirates Stadium but have won just two of their last nine home matches in the Premier League. The Gunners have been tough to score against on home soil of late at least, as they have kept clean sheets in their last three league matches at the Emirates Stadium.

Leeds

Marcelo Bielsa’s team have found a touch of form of late in the Premier League, winning three of their last four matches in the English top-flight. Last time out they recorded a 2-0 home win over Crystal Palace. The victory saw the team from Yorkshire score two or more goals for the third time in four Premier League matches.

The visitors recent league matches have been relatively high-scoring, with over 2.5 goals scored in six of their previous eight Premier League matches. Star forward Patrick Bamford has been prolific this season, scoring 12 goals in 22 appearances in the English top-flight.

Leeds have been highly inconsistent on their travels in the Premier League this season, winning six of their last 11 away games, losing five games in the process. Bielsa’s team form has improved on their travels in the English top-flight of late, as they have won three of their last four matches on the road. They have been prolific away from home in the Premier League, scoring at least two goals in four of their last five matches on their travels.

Conclusion

Arsenal have struggled for any consistency, especially in attack, although they have improved in defence. Leeds are in decent form and will fancy their chances of picking up maximum points. However, we are backing the draw, as the Gunners have been pretty solid on home soil in recent months. The other bet we recommend is under 2.5 goals scored, as the home side will keep it tight, which may negate their attacking efforts.

Verdict: We are backing the draw at odds of 14/5 and/or under 2.5 goals at odds of 11/8. (All odds are taken from Bet365).
