Prediction and odds for the game: Fulham (11/8) vs Leeds (7/4)

We are backing the draw at odds of 13/5

When: Friday, 19th March 2021, Kick-off 20:00

Where: Craven Cottage

On Friday night, Fulham host Leeds at Craven Cottage in the Premier League, as the home team look to boost their survival hopes.

Fulham

The Cottagers have boosted their survival hopes in recent months. However, Scott Parker’s team have won just one of their last four Premier League matches. Their main problem in recent games is a lack of goals, as the team from the English capital have scored just one in their last four league outings. The struggle for goals of late is no surprise, as only the bottom two teams in the league West Brom and Sheffield United have scored fewer goals than the Cottagers this season.

The home team have a woeful recent home record in the Premier League, as the Cottagers have won just one of their last 11 league matches at Craven Cottage. To make matters worse, they have lost five of their last seven league matches on home soil. Once again, goals have been a problem in recent home games for Parker’s team, as they have scored just one goal in their previous five league outings on their own patch.

Leeds

The team from Yorkshire have endured an inconsistent Premier League campaign. Marcelo Bielsa’s side is 12th place in the table, ten points clear of the home side and the relegation zone. The Whites head into this clash on a run of one win in their last six league games, suffering four defeats in the process. Similarly to the home side, the visitors have struggled for goals in recent league matches, having failed to score in four of their last five Premier League games.

Top goalscorer Patrick Bamford have scored just once in his last six top-flight outings. However, the 27-year-old will be happy with his 13 league goals this season, but he will want to get back on the scoresheet with a vital few months ahead.

Leeds have been highly inconsistent on their travels this season. Bielsa’s team have won just three of their last nine league games on their travels, having suffered six defeats in the run. A lack of clean sheets has been a key factor in those recent poor away results, as the Yorkshire team have kept out the opposition just once in that nine-game run of matches.

Conclusion

Neither of these teams heads into this clash in great form. However, the home team will feel that their form has improved, while Leeds are unpredictable. We are backing the draw, as neither team seems to have the confidence to record a victory. The other bet we are backing is under 2.5 goals, as both teams gave struggled for goals in recent weeks.

Verdict: We are backing the draw at odds of 13/5 and/or under 2.5 goals scored at odds of 4/5. (All odds are taken from Bet365).
