Where: Selhurst Park

Crystal Palace and Manchester City will meet on Saturday with City being on the verge of another Premier League coronation.

Crystal Palace

It’s starting to feel as if Crystal Palace fans are just counting down the days until the season ends and Roy Hodgson finally departs his role as manager at the club. There’s no guarantee that’s going to happen but it feels as if that’s the direction we’re trending in, which wouldn’t be the worst thing in the world. Right now the team seems to be going nowhere in a hurry and even if the manager isn’t 100% to blame for that, he’s definitely part of the equation.

After the loss against Chelsea, Palace had 16 days to think about where they’ve been going wrong ahead of an intriguing visit to take on Leicester. For long spells of the game they actually looked really good but they couldn’t maintain their composure, eventually succumbing to a 2-1 defeat.

Manchester City

Manchester City are still on for a remarkable treble success this season and if results go their way this weekend, there’s a chance they could be champions before we even get to their second leg against PSG. Pep Guardiola knows the rotations he has to put in place and with only two competitions left for him to focus on, it’s going to be a lot easier for him to manage his resources heading into, arguably, the most important few weeks of his managerial career.

Three games, three competitions, seven days – that’s the life of Manchester City Football Club right now. All three fixtures saw them stare adversity right in the face starting off with a hard-fought 2-1 EPL win over Aston Villa. They proceeded to edge past Tottenham Hotspur with a 1-0 win in the Carabao Cup final, and then against Paris Saint-Germain, they came from behind to win 2-1 and put one foot in the Champions League final.

Conclusion

We actually think the tired legs from midweek are going to lead to City having some problems which, in turn, leads us to believe the Eagles will take an early lead. They’ve got dangerous players who can cause problems throughout the pitch when they’re feeling lethal, but when they finally wake City up and the visitors start playing, that’s when we’re going to have some issues. It’s at that stage Pep’s side should seize control, eventually running out comfortable winners.

Our official scoreline prediction is going to be 3-1 Manchester City, ensuring we smash the over 2.5 goals bracket.

Verdict: Back the away win at odds of 1/3 and the over 2.5 goals scored at odds of 8/11 (All odds are taken from bet365).
