Manchester United have made an initial move to try and prize England striker Harry Kane away from Tottenham Hotspur.
Kane has made no secret that he would be willing to leave the North London-based outfit in pursuit of major honors and as reported by Daily Telegraph writer Matt Law, it is expected the England captain is going to reject an offer of a new contract this summer.

Man United transfer news: Red Devils preparing offer for Harry Kane
It is likely that despite this, Chairman Daniel Levy is unwilling to accept an offer of less than $125m as Tottenham’s all-time top goal scorer and fan-favorite will leave a massive void for Spurs at the top of the pitch if he was to leave the club. Kane scored a consolation goal in his side’s embarrassing 6-1 defeat away at Newcastle United, leaving interim head coach Cristian Stellini’s job in doubt.
United, on the other hand, are in the market for a world-class number nine such as Kane who they can offer Champions League football next season as the Red Devils look set to tie up a top-four spot, currently sitting six points ahead of Spurs with two games in hand. With on-loan striker Wout Weghorst set to return to parent club Burnley and Anthony Martial rumored to be leaving the club in the summer, Kane would be an automatic first choice at Old Trafford next summer if he were to make the move.
