Inter Milan have rejected Manchester United’s second bid for goalkeeper Andre Onana after David De Gea confirmed he is leaving the Red Devils.

The Nerazzuri are fully aware that De Gea’s departure over the weekend means the Red Devils will have to go all out for their first-choice target Onana and, according to Sky Sports Dharmesh Sheth, Simeone Inzaghi’s men are now prepared to sit and wait until United match their full evaluation for the Cameroonian.

Inter are asking for $65m for Onana but Erik Ten Hag’s men only offered $55m when they submitted their second official bid on Thursday.

If a move can be completed, the 27-year-old will be United’s first-choice shot-stopper next season with the Italian giants already singling out Yann Sommer as Onana’s replacement for the 2023-2024 campaign.

Inter will want to arrange a deal to be completed soon with the squad expected to return to pre-season training on Thursday and talks remaining ongoing between the two clubs.
