USMNT captain Tyler Adams is expected to make his debut for Bournemouth in the Carabao Cup tomorrow night after recovering from injury.

The superbly talented defensive midfielder moved from Leeds United but has been out of action for over six months after damaging his hamstring in March.

USMNT Tyler Adams set for injury comeback

After seeing his prospected transfer to Chelsea collapse last month, Adams ended up signing for Bournemouth and he is set to be in the squad for the visit of Stoke City on Wednesday night after finally recovering from surgery.

As reported by Soccer Times last month, Adams had a $25.5m release clause in his contract at Leeds United following their relegation to the Championship last season.

Chelsea pulled out of a move at the last minute after securing deals for Moises Caicedo and Romeo Lavia placing Adams in a difficult position to return to Leeds- where he had been one of the most consistent performers last term.

However, the American-owned Cherries were able to strike a deal with the Yorkshire club for the 24-year-old who is now widely expected to relish his second opportunity of Premier League football.
