Serie A giants Inter Milan are plotting a fresh move for Belgian forward Romelu Lukaku on what is likely to be a season-long loan.
The Belgian hitman joined Chelsea in 2021 for $125m on a five-year contract from the Nerazzurri but was sent back on loan after just one year at Stamford Bridge.

And after impressing in the last third of the season for Inter, head coach Simeone Inzaghi is keen to keep hold of Lukaku following the imminent departures of Edin Dzeko and Joaquin Correa.
Lukaku was on target twice for his country during Belgium’s 3-0 win over Estonia in last Tuesday’s UEFA EURO 2024 qualifier and according to reputable journalist Matt Law writing in today’s Daily Telegraph, Inter will request a loan deal with an option to buy next summer for just $33m, over $90m less than what Chelsea paid only two summers ago.

Chelsea will request a permanent transfer to go through this summer instead but there is currently a feeling that a deal can be done.
