Gameweek three of the Premier League continues on Sunday with three more potentially exciting games taking place. Here are more details about Sunday’s top-flight matches:

Tottenham v Newcastle (Kick 4:30 PM)

Tottenham will be looking to pick up their second Premier League win of the season as they host Newcastle at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

The team from north London have kicked off the new campaign by winning 3-1 against Aston Villa on the opening weekend before picking up a very creditable 2-2 draw at reigning champions Manchester City last time out.

The early season results mean that the Mauricio Pochettino’s team are unbeaten in their last three top-flight games. However, they have also won just one of their last five matches in the Premier League.

The home side have a decent recent record on home soil in the top-flight, having recorded seven wins in their last ten league matches at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. However, recently they have a record of one win, one draw and one draw in their last three home games.

Spurs have won the last four matches against Newcastle, but the Magpies did win in north London in both 2014 and 2015.

Newcastle have kicked off their Premier League campaign by suffering consecutive defeats against Arsenal and last time out Newcastle. The losses mean that the Magpies have won just once in their last five games in the top-flight.

The visitors form towards the end of last season on their travels was highly inconsistent. However, a record of two wins in their last 12 away games in the top-flight is not a great one.

Newcastle boss Steve Bruce is already under pressure to deliver positive results. However, the veteran boss and his team could have done without a trip to north London. The Magpies are major underdogs to pick up a result at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Wolves v Burnley (Kick-off 4:30 PM)

Wolves will be looking to record their first top-flight win of the season as they host Burnley at Molineux.

The team from the Midlands have started the new campaign with draws against Leicester and last time out Manchester United. Neither were terrible results, especially as Nuno Espirito Santo’s team have also been playing the qualifying rounds for the Europa League.

Santo’s team have a mixed recent record in the Premier League. However, they have been hard to beat of late, losing just once in seven top-flight matches, which was at last seasons runners-up Liverpool on the final day of last season.

Wolves are unbeaten in nine league games at Molineux, having recorded six victories in the process. That good home form has been built on defensive solidity, as the home side has conceded just four times in their last eight matches in the top-flight.

Burnley have enjoyed a mixed start to their league campaign so far. The Clarets opened their campaign with a comprehensive 3-0 win over Southampton before suffering a 2-1 defeat against Arsenal last time out.

Sean Dyche’s team have now won just once in six Premier League games while suffering four defeats in their last five league matches. The side from the north west has also won just one of their last six away games in the top-flight, suffering four defeats in the process.

The Clarets are at least showing signs of recovery this season after a woeful campaign last season. This is a tough game for the visitors though.
