In the Premier League early kick-off, Bournemouth host Manchester United at the Vitality Stadium, as both teams look to move closer to the Premier League top-four.

Bournemouth (Odds of 9/4)

Eddie Howe’s team have experienced a solid start to the Premier League campaign so far and are currently ninth-place in the table, only behind their seventh-place opponents on goal difference.

The Cherries have struggled for wins of late in the English top-flight, failing to win in four league outings. Three of the four winless games have finished in draws, so all has not been lost for the team from the south coast of late.

The fact that they have kept two straight clean sheets is encouraging too. However, there have been concerns at the end of the field of late, as the Cherries have now failed to score in three league outings.

Bournemouth have a poor recent home record in the Premier League, winning just two of their last 11 matches on the Vitality Stadium dating back to last season. The Cherries have also kept just two clean sheets in that run of home games too.

Howe’s team will be looking to end a run of three straight home defeats against the Red Devils on home soil. The Cherries have also suffered defeat in six of their last seven meetings with United.

Manchester United (Odds of 23/20 for victory)

After a poor start to the season, it seems like United’s form is slowly turning around a 2-1 win at Chelsea in the Carabao Cup fourth round last time out was their third straight win in all competitions. Once again Marcus Rashford was the start, as the young forward grabbed a brace, including a sensational free-kick.

Despite their improvement in recent form, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s team has still won just one of their last five games in the English top-flight. A 3-1 win at Norwich in their last top-flight outing ended a four-game winless run in the league.

In fact, the win over the Canaries ended an eight-game winless run on their travels in the Premier League dating back to March. The clash at Carrow Road also ended a run of low-scoring matches, as United’s previous five away games in the top-flight had produced under 2.5 goals.

With United seemingly back in form going forward, then this game could be a good test to see if the Red Devils are really on the road to recovery.

Conclusion

There is not much between these two teams when it comes to league position. However, it is the visitors who are finally showing signs of a recovery in form. The Cherries, on the other hand, are struggling to do what they have done best under Howe and score goals.

We are backing the away win at odds of 23/20, as Solskjaer’s side look to have built up some momentum in recent games. The other bet we are looking to back is Rashford to continue his scoring streak, as he is 13/10 to score at any time on the south coast.

Verdict: Back the away win at odds of 23/20 and/or Marcus Rashford to be an anytime scorer at odds of 13/10. (All odds are taken from Bet365).
