When: Saturday, 13th March @ 8pm K.O
Where: Craven Cottage
Fulham will attempt to knock Manchester City off their game when the two meet in a real David vs Goliath clash in the Premier League.
Scott Parker knew it was going to be an uphill task to keep Fulham in the Premier League this season but even with that being the case, we think a lot can be said for the manner in which they’ve approached some of their games. From taking points off of the big boys to really gutting out some strong defensive performances, they are showing the sort of heart that is sorely needed when you are knee deep in a relegation battle as tight as this one.
After beating Everton and Sheffield United in the midst of draws against Burnley and Crystal Palace, it legitimately felt as it Fulham were building momentum for themselves. Even after the narrow defeat to Tottenham, which was controversial in its own right, they bounced right back with a hugely impressive 1-0 win over Liverpool in their last outing.
We’re all just counting down the days until Manchester City are officially crowned Champions of England once again after an insane 21-game winning run took them back to the summit of the Premier League. It’s going to take time for them to really allow their accomplishment to sink in but for the time being, they have to stay focused on the task at hand because teams like Fulham are able to pull a rabbit out of the hat every now and then.
From the end of February onwards Manchester City have pretty much continued their trend of being super impressive in every competition they’re competing in. They beat Arsenal, Borussia Monchengladbach, West Ham and Wolves, only for Manchester United to stun them with a 2-0 win in the derby. They did rebound in style, though, cruising to a 5-2 win over Southampton during the week.
Fulham are quickly becoming the club of the people in the Premier League with many fans of other teams really rooting for them to stay up. While we definitely think they’ve got what it takes to make it happen, this isn’t the game that’s going to get them any closer. Manchester City continue to serve as one of the best examples of excellence in world football and they’ll prove that at Craven Cottage tomorrow night.
Our official scoreline prediction is going to be 3-1 Man City, ensuring we stick to the over 2.5 goals bracket – so buckle up for some classic City entertainment.
Verdict: Back the away win at odds of 1/3 and the over 2.5 goals scored at odds of 8/11 (All odds are taken from bet365).[geosnippet id=3620]
