Man United target Evan Ferguson is set to turn down a move to Old Trafford and stay at Brighton and Hove Albion by signing a new contract with the Seagulls.

According to the Daily Telegraph, Ferguson is more than happy at Brighton, and despite still having three years remaining on his existing deal, the striker has made it clear he wants to stay on the South Coast to continue his development despite interest from the Premier League giants, who were first linked with the Irishman last week.

The news will be a blow to United but they can now turn their attention solely on signing a proven World-Class number nine, with England captain Harry Kane and Napoli’s Victor Osimhen both linked over the last few days, as well as Slovenian teenage sensation Benjamin Sesko from RB Salzburg.
