Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing Chelsea midfielder Conor Gallagher if Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg leaves for Atletico Madrid this summer.

Gallagher has been linked with a move to Everton this summer as Todd Boehly’s summer clearout continues. Boehly has already overseen the departure of 14 senior players this summer but is not thought to have stopped there after investing over $700m in his new side.

Conor Gallagher set for Spurs switch?

According to The Daily Mail’s Sami Mokbel, Gallagher could be set to be another one of Boehly’s fall guys with Spurs coach Ange Postecoglou reportedly a big fan of Gallagher’s energetic and hard-working approach.

As reported earlier this month, Hojbjerg remains a priority target for Atletico Madrid with talks ongoing over a potential transfer. And if Chelsea can reach an agreement for Brighton central midfielder Moises Caicedo, it could spell the end for England international Gallagher who will be aiming for more game time next season after starting less than half of the Blues’ Premier League fixtures last term.
