Prediction and odds for the game: Leicester (3/5) v Everton (9/2) We are backing the safe bet of a home win.

When: Sunday 1st December 2019, Kick-off 4:30 PM

Where: The King Power Stadium

Leicester will be looking to continue their recent stellar form when they host struggling Everton at the King Power Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

Leicester

The Foxes are certainly living up to pre-season expectations that they could mount a serious challenge for a top-four spot this season. However, few will have foreseen Brendan Rodgers team sitting second-place in the table at this point of the campaign.

The team from the Midlands head into this encounter on the back of five straight top-flight wins. A 2-0 win at Brighton last time out also means that the Foxes have also kept four straight clean sheets. They have also been prolific at the opposite end of the pitch, finding the net twice in their last five outings in the English top-flight.

Veteran striker Jamie Vardy has been a key figure in racking up goals this season, as the 32-year-old has scored 12 goals in just 13 Premier League appearances this season.

Considering their recent run of form in the top-flight, it will not come as a surprise that the Foxes are eight games undefeated on home soil in the top-flight, having won their last five outings while scoring at least twice in five matches.

Everton

The visitors are in the midst of a crisis that has led to speculation that head coach Marco Silva’s job is in danger. The Toffees low point of the campaign came last time out when they suffered a 2-0 defeat at home against Norwich, who were bottom of the table at the start of last weekend.

Silva may be slightly fortunate to still be in the Toffees dugout at the King Power after the result. He will be hoping that his team somehow produce a battling performance to take something from the game. They won 2-1 in this fixture last season.

A repeat of that result looks unlikely, though, as the Toffees have won just twice in their last nine league games. Their poor run of form has seen them drop to 16th place in the table, just four points clear of the relegation zone.

Long-term injuries to first-choice central midfielders Jean-Philipp Gbamin and Andre Gomes have not helped the Merseysider’s results. To make matters worse, Fabian Delph and Morgan Schneiderlin are also fitness doubts for the trip to the King Power Stadium.

They travel to the Midlands more in hope than expectation, especially as Silva’s team have won just once in their last nine away games.

Conclusion

It really is difficult to see anything other than a home win in this clash, which is why we are backing the Foxes to record a victory. Due to Leicester’s free-scoring displays of late and Everton woeful defending, we are also backing the over 2.5 goals scored at odds of 10/11.

Verdict: Back the home win at odds of 3/5 and/or the over 2.5 goals scored at odds of 10/11. (All odds are taken from Bet365).
