Prediction and odds for the game: Chelsea (21/20) vs Tottenham (13/5)

We are backing the draw at odds of 5/2

When: Sunday, 29th November 2020, Kick-off 16:30

Where: Stamford Bridge

On Sunday afternoon, London rivals Chelsea and Tottenham go head-to-head at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, in a game that could have big implications at the top of the Premier League table.

Chelsea

The Blues summer spending seems to now be paying dividends, as Frank Lampard’s team are third -place in the table, just two points behind their opponents who top the table.

A midweek 2-1 win at French team Rennes in the Champions League means that Chelsea have now won their previous six matches in all competitions. The win also saw the Blues score at least twice for the sixth straight competitive game.

At the other end of the pitch, there has been a major improvement in the Premier League, as the home team has now conceded just once in four league matches.

Chelsea have a good recent home record in Stamford Bridge, winning eight of their last ten outings in the English top-flight. The Blues have also been prolific in front of goal on home soil in the Premier League of late, scoring at least twice in seven of their last ten matches.

Tottenham

Jose Mourinho’s team find themselves top of the table, only ahead of second-place Liverpool on goal difference. The north London outfit have claimed 20 points from their opening nine Premier League games.

Like the home side, Spurs head into this clash in form, having recorded five straight wins in all competitions. A 4-0 Europa League win over Ludogorets on Thursday night also continued a prolific scoring run for the visitors. When it comes to the Premier League, the team from north London are undefeated in eight outings, recording five wins, including winning their previous four games in the English top-flight.

Last time out in the Premier League, Jose Mourinho’s team recorded a superb 2-0 home win over Manchester City. The game saw Spurs keep their third clean sheet in their last four top-flight games.

The scoring form of forward pair Heung Min-Son and Harry Kane has played a vital part in Tottenham’s lofty position in the table. The pair have scored nine and seven goals respectively in the Premier League this season.

The visitors are undefeated in their last seven games in the Premier League on their travels, recording five victories.

Conclusion

This is a massive test of both of these team’s title credentials. The pair head into this clash in good form and will be confident of getting a result. However, we are backing the draw in this clash, as the two teams could cancel each other out. The pair have been prolific of late, but their defences have also improved. The other bet we are recommending is an outside bet of under 2.5 goals scored.

Verdict: We are backing the draw at odds of 5/2 and/or under 2.5 goals scored at odds of 11/10. (All odds are taken from Bet365).
